Our Butter Beans complement many different flavours - you can marry them with tomatoes and garlic, fresh herbs, cream, butter, braised lamb, green vegetables or chilli. Eat them whole, or purée our Butter Beans and add them to soups and stews to give texture and body.

Commitment phobia ?

Warning - dried beans are a little bit more of a commitment to make, but...

...the flavour and texture that properly cooked dried beans bring to your recipes make their canned counterparts feel like junior siblings. Their skins are in tact and firm, and when you bite into them, the insides are smooth and flavourful. Beans that have not been soaked ahead of time will always take longer to cook, but they will still cook.

Soaking beans in the fridge will reduce the time they have to cook drastically. And the texture of the beans will also be at their best, with fewer split-open and burst ones.

Soak them overnight for 6 to 10 hours. Keep the beans covered with water while soaking. Beans soaked longer than 12 hours can absorb too much water and lose their characteristic texture and flavour. If you plan to cook beans for dinner and  want to use the long-soak method, start soaking in the morning.

Best Beans By Far

I eat a lot of rice & pulses.
Buying from supermarkets would be packets here & there of small amounts.
Plus the range is limited.
Looked on eBay, Amazon - beans, rice were there, just pricey when you start adding up 1kg bags & 2kg bags, 500g bags etc..
Get my drift?
I searched for beans & rice shops, bypassing eBay & Amazon & I came across Tropical Sun.
I looked & clicked, looked & clicked, & a few more times.
These were affordable, I was happy.
Package arrived, soaked, cooked butter beans as I was needing them for my evening meal.

Perfect!

These beans are my second lot.
I have used them to eat on their own, added them to a bean chilli, mashed them & had cold in a salad.

I was quite possessive as a child, those feelings came to mind as I began writing this as I wanted Tropical Sun all for me.

But seriously, I am no vegan or vegetarian these butter beans are made because they go with a slow cooked shank of lamb.

Shop from Tropical Sun with confidence.

My 2nd time & I'll be back 3, 4, 5, etc.. times - as their beans are top notch.

I Love Butterbeans!

Soaked the beans overnight, then made a beautiful thyme, bratwurst and creamy butter bean soup in the pressure cooker. I'm glad I purchased them.
