A firm favourite from Asia to The Caribbean, Tropical Sun Cow Peas are an excellent source of alkali nutrition and are consequently very popular in macrobiotic cuisine. A fantastic source of protein, iron and magnesium, Cow Peas can be added to rice, curries, soups and even made into anko: a sweet paste used in Japanese confectionary. The humble Cow Pea’s versatility knows no limits! Once opened, transfer the peas to a suitable container, refrigerate and treat as fresh food. Enjoy!
